Interactive Bible Study – Q & A

Lifestream International Ministries

What does Christ’s life, death and resurrection tell us about God?  Because Jesus was God in the flesh, and the gospels give us a multitude of information about His life and ministry here on earth.

We present in this study some examples of His life and accomplishments.  We urge you to study the scriptures given and answer the questions that follow:

1).  In Jesus’ birth, we see the mercy of God as He humbled Himself to come to our rescue.  What was Matthew’s view of this event in chapter 1:21-23?

2). In Jesus’ miracles, we see the unlimited power of God to control nature, disease, and death.  Discuss Mark and Luke’s accounts in:  Mark 4:35-41 and Luke 7:11-18; 9:37-42.

3).  When Jesus taught, we are able to see the Wisdom and goodness of God as He tells us what to believe and how to live.  Explain John’s point of view…

4).  Jesus taught His disciples; as He did so, one can see God’s wish to work through His people.  How?  (John 14:12)

5). Hoe far did  god go to redeem us from our sins?  (John 3:16)

6).   The supernatural power of God was seen when He raised Jesus from the dead and conquered death.  Discuss this event   (Mark 16:1-8)

Preparation and Expectation

Think of ALL the PREPARATION that has been done for many years and even decades, for those of us over age forty  to – all year-long – in EXPECTATION of the upcoming 25th day of December – Christmas Day.

People everywhere  are preparing their hearts, minds and homes for this special celebration  This special season of the year is called the time of ADVENT (which begins the 4th Sunday before Christmas through Christmas Eve Day) – the Traditional Christian Holiday to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and a time of looking forward to His second coming began in the fourth century, A.D.

Much like the African Holiday called Kwanzaa, Americans everywhere prepare holiday feasts, gifts, family gatherings and food,  music, singing, candles, ornaments and lights.  In Latin, the word Advent means, “a Coming.”  The weeks leading up to Christmas can be a wonderful time of repentance and expectation, as we celebrate the Lord’s first Advent in Bethlehem, and look anxiously forward to His second Advent when He returns in great glory.

He has come and He is coming again.  The gospel of Luke describes “the glory of the Lord” that shone around shepherds when the angel announced the Savior’s birth.  Like 2:9  The gospel of Luke also records Jesus’ promise that He will return “..with power and great glory.”  Luke 21:27

The two events canvas the purpose for which the Son of God came into the world.    God Bless you all this Holiday season and may your understanding of the true meaning and reason for the season be revealed.          Our Christmas Greeting and Prayer for You

God Wants You To Know…

Message from GodRomans 10:9-10:   Salvation is For You

“…That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

God hears the prayers of sinners…

If Jesus Christ is not reigning in your life as Lord and Savior, now is the opportunity to receive salvation. Accepting God’s gift of salvation begins with confessing your sins to God verbally, repenting of these sins (turning away from them), and believing in your heart that God raised His Son Jesus Christ from the dead.

You then ask the Lord Jesus to come into your life and into your heart, to begin His work of purification. Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you become part of the family of God and are able to communicate with God as your heavenly Father. Jesus Christ died to save all who believe in him from the sin that would bring eternal condemnation and eternal separation and exclusion from God and His kingdom. The time is now to ask the Lord to save your soul so that you may spend eternity with him.

ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD

THE IMPORTANCE OF CONFESSING OUR SINS AND WORSHIPPING GOD

What does the Word say?

“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.”  Psalms 66:18
